WAC Beauty Spots Recessed Lighting

These optical crystal lights add sparkle to any residential, or hospitality installation. Easily mounted on suspended or finished ceilings, Beauty Spots can be used individually or grouped together to create a custom light sculpture in a pattern or random array.

WAC Beauty Spots Recessed Lighting are decorative fixtures combining low voltage xenon lamps with a variety of crystal shades, creating bright splashes of light and eye-catching patterns on the ceiling.

The basic fixture consists of a 2.75" wide canopy with LED or 12 volt, 20 watt xenon (not halogen) lamps. Canopies require a 2 3/8" cutout and remote transformer. 24 volt xenon lamps may be used when paired with 24 volt transformers.

The crystal shades fit over the lamp and are held in place by a spring band on the socket.

Colored crystals add a wonderful splash of color to enhance or contrast with the elements of color within an environment. They can be strategically placed to draw attention to architectural features or create a pleasing ambiance. Arrayed in a linear fashion, they create a visual flow through a space.

Geometric crystals refract light to create beautiful striations on a surface. These hand-made optical crystal shades exhibit clarity and brilliance. They add a subtle luxurious lighting statement to the space and add interest to a ceiling plane when used in conjunction with general lighting fixtures. Used alone, they generate an element of romance like stars in the heavens.

Crystal shades, canopies and transformers are ordered separately.

Overview from WAC

Intended for use in ceilings cabinets and displays. Fixtures use a Xenon (not tungsten halogen) 12V bi-pin lamp 20 watts maximum (24V lamp may be used with 24 volt power supply). Recessed wiring compartment contains a standard size knock out hole that will accept BX or Romex Compact and Mini Picture Lightss. Fixture is held in place by spring tension against the cut out hole.

Installing fixture

1) Run a wire from a remote transformer to the fixture site (use 12 or 24 volt listed transformer, not supplied).
2) Cut a 2 3/8" diameter opening on the mounting surface.
3) Bring the wire through the hole.
4) Loosen the two screws on either side of can to remove and access the socket wires.
5) Remove the knock out in the can and install the appropriate wire Compact and Mini Picture Lights.
6) Connect "output" wires from the transformer to the socket wires with wire nuts provided.
7) Tuck wires under the can and re install with the two screws removed earlier.
8) Compress the leaf springs on either side of the housing and insert into the cut out hole.

Installing Lamp & Shade

1) Use a Xenon (not tungsten halogen) lamp 12 or 24 V (depending on power supply) 20 watts maximum included .
2) Align lamp pins with holes in the socket and gently push in.
3) Shades will fit over the lamp and are held in space by a spring band at the base of the socket, simply push on or pull off.
4) Shades sold separately. Use shades from the "DR" series.
